MFW: Dolce & Gabbana Menswear F/W 2012-13

Milan Fashion Week, dedicated to F/W 2012-13, already started so let's see the new Men Collection by Dolce & Gabbana.

A total of (about) 74 new proposals created by the fantastic duo of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. The first Men Collection presented after the Official closure of their young line D&G, which was incorporated under the main Brand (I had already talked about it HERE).
The incorporation of the young line has not been any kind of problem related to the concept of the Fashion Show and it did not even affected the style of the famous "Gentleman" by Dolce & Gabbana in fact, i think that this incorporation was perfectly able to bring some outfits more youthful and easy-to-wear. The main element of this Fall/Winter 2012-13 is the baroque decoration in gold filigree thread embroidered entirely by hand, that we can find in a lot of items on the catwalk as: coats, sweaters, jackets, socks and even shoes.
Decorations that evoke also the idea of the ones that are reproduced in the jackets of Spanish bullfighters.
The star of the show was the "coat" created in the different variations of shapes and lengths, covering the classic and elegant full suit and tie made of a complete search of material and perfection of forms that belong to traditional Italian tailoring art. Some materials used are velvet, herringbone, the Prince of Wales and many other re-invent and changed of course.
The main colors are Black and Gold of baroque decorations and the only points of color are: bordeaux, dark green and camel.

  7. I just other day watched again Marie Antoinette by Sofia Coppola, This collection reminded me of it so much. Gosh, I envy D&G mens, because I would love to have some of these pieces. This is 21st century baroque, chic.
