Alcatel is back in better shape than ever before.
If many people like me (born in 1989) remember this brand for having owned one of their iconic first cell phones, we can now affirm that the look has been officially redone.
With the launch of the new Alcatel 5V smartphone, the French company wants to conquer a slice of the market with a device that has all the right credentials.
I had the chance to test this smartphone for some time and today it has become a faithful companion, it has not replaced the main one but it is definitely a valid support.
I will not be here to bore you with the individual technical specifications (which you can find HERE) but I want to tell you my personal experience and my opinions.
The thing that immediately won me over was the display, a 6.2 "fullview HD, the brightness is really high and the colors are bright and shiny.
We also find the notch on the front that does not bother but makes the device even cooler and in line with the trend of the moment.
The battery, accustomed to my iPhone 7, I must admit that 4000mAh of battery are another thing, I never had trouble getting in the evening despite having subjected the device under stress.
There are three ways of unlocking: face recognition (Face Key), fingerprint with reader on the back and classic code on the display.
Design is very simple and linear, with the possibility to choose between two colors: black and blue.
I would have preferred that Alcatel had brought a breath of news about the colors, something more young as they are already making them competitors, in order to attract a young portion of the market.
The only thing that did not make me crazy was the camera, the new Alcatel 5V is equipped with a dual camera, the main 12 MP and the other 2MP dedicated to the recognition of depth of field, all seasoned by "artificial intelligence" that can recognize more than 12 different scenes.
Taking pictures during the day is not a problem but as soon as the lighting conditions begin to run low, the "noise" becomes heavier.
Let's make one thing clear, I'm very demanding about the cameras (at the bottom of the post you can find the photos shoot with the smartphone) but I think if they had done just a little bit more, it would have been a complete ULTRA medium-low end devide.
The price of Alcatel 5V is the real strength, considering all these features, the cost of launch is € 249 but you can already find it on Amazon at € 180, so a mid-low-end phone that has a quality -price mix never seen before!

Se molte persone come me (classe 1989) ricordano questo marchio per aver posseduto uno dei loro iconici primi cellulari, adesso possiamo affermare che si è ufficialmente rifatto totalmente il look.
Con il lancio del nuovissimo smartphone Alcatel 5V, l'azienda francese vuole conquistare una fetta di mercato con un device che ha tutte le carte in regola.
Ho avuto la possibilità di testare questo smartphone per diverso tempo ed oggi è diventato un mio fedele compagno, non ha sostituito il principale ma è sicuramente un valida supporto.
Non starò qui ad annoiarvi con le singole specifiche tecniche (che potete trovare QUI) bensì voglio raccontarvi la mia personale esperienza e le mie opinioni.
La cosa che mi ha immediatamente conquistato è stato il display, un fullview HD da 6.2", la luminosità è davvero alta ed i colori risultano brillanti e lucenti.
Inoltre troviamo il notch sulla parte frontale che non da nessun fastidio ma rende il device ancora più accattivante ed in linea col trend del momento.
La batteria, abituato al mio iPhone 7, devo ammettere che 4000mah di batteria sono tutta un'altra cosa, non ho mai fatto fatica ad arrivare a sera nonostante aver sottoposto sotto stress il device.
Le modalità di sblocco sono tre: riconoscimento facciale (Face Key), impronta digitale con lettore posto sul retro e classico codice su display.
Il Design è molto semplice e lineare , ben curato con la possibilità di scegliere tra due colori: nero e blu.
Avrei preferito che Alcatel avesse portato una ventata di novità riguardo le colorazioni, qualcosa di più young come stanno già facendoi competitor, in modo da attirare una porzione giovane del mercato.
L'unica cosa che non mi ha fatto impazzire è stata la fotocamera, il nuovo Alcatel 5V è dotato di una doppia fotocamera, la principale da 12 MP e l'altra da 2MP dedicata al riconoscimento della profondità di campo, il tutto condito dall'intelligenza artificiale in grado di riconoscere più di 12 scene differenti.
Scattare le fotografie di giorno non è un problema, anzi riescono anche molto bene ma non appena le condizioni di luce iniziano a scarseggiare, il "rumore" fondo si fa più pesante.
Mettiamo in chiaro una cosa, io sono molto esigente riguardo le fotocamere (in fondo al post trovate le fotografie scattare con lo smartphone) ma penso che se avessero fatto giusto qualcosina in più, sarebbe stato un devide di fascia medio-bassa ULTRA completo.
Il prezzo di Alcatel 5V è il vero punto di forza, considerando tutte queste features, il costo di lancio è di € 249 ma già potete anche trovarlo su Amazon a €180, per cui un telefono di fascia medio-bassa che ha un rapporto qualità-prezzo mai visto prima!
